On 11/16/2005, the vessel ACADIENNE GALE II (Official Number 821367) was involved in a risk of sinking in 45 NM NE OF WHITE BEAR ISLAND, LABRADOR, NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR (NL).

Vessel took on water in the steering well. Water coming from around the rudder post. Makeshift clamps were install to retain the top sealing ring in place. Submersible pump set to expel water. Permanent repair carried out in dry dock.. Damage to the vessel was indicated as MINOR
