On 3/26/2005 , the vessel FRANCIS ERIC (Official Number 820207) was involved in a total failure of any machinery or technical system in 15 NM SOUTHWEST OF ILE D'ENTREE, ILES DE LA MADELEINE, QC, QUEBEC (QC).

The vessel, with 10 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.
