On 8/19/1995 , the vessel ABITIBI (Official Number 170260) was involved in a grounding - not under power (includes drifting) (non-intentional) in MUNICIPAL WHARF, WHITE ROCK, B.C.,.

The vessel, with 9 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 10/12/1995. Weather at the time was reported as clear.

While tying up at municipal wharf in White Rock the stern line pulled the dolphin off the wharf and the vessel subsequently grounded.
