On 8/19/1988 , the vessel ATLANTIC EXPLORER (Official Number 808656) was involved in a person seriously injured or killed - in contact with any part of the ship or its contents in OFF LABRADOR, EN ROUTE HOPEDALE, NFLD.,.

The vessel, with 18 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was pollution.
