Two drydock sections "strapped" together for tow. Whole unit known as "DUKE OF CONNAUGHT". Aft section split off tow at 0946(LT) 22/11/88. Fwd section parted tow at 1448(LT).Both sections later grounded off Iles de la Madeleine. Note: formerly OccNo : 9708-5-88. Damage to the vessel was indicated as CONSTRUCTIVE TOTAL LOSS

Weather at the time was reported as snow with winds from the NNW at 40.00 knots. This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 7/20/1989 .
