On 8/3/1987 1, the vessel NEA DOXA (Official Number 8719) was involved in a striking - allision with a fixed object (striking - includes berthed/docked vessels) in UPPER APPROACH WALL,IROQUOIS LOCK,ONT.,.

The vessel, with 20 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 2/23/1988 . Weather at the time was reported as fog with winds from the ESE at 20.00 knots.
