On 3/20/1999 , the vessel GOOSE POINT (Official Number 331005) was involved in a person seriously injured or killed - in contact with any part of the ship or its contents in LEMPRIERE BANK, S OF ARISTAZABEL ISLAND, BC, BRITISH COLUMBIA (BC).

The vessel, with 2 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

F.V. rolling in seaway. Motion caused deckhand to bump hydraulic controls, activating equipment. Deckhand's hand was swept into pulley gear resulting in the loss of the tips of the two middle fingers of his right hand.
