On 11/7/1997 , the vessel VICTORIA CLIPPER IV (Official Number 991479) was involved in a striking - allision with a fixed object (striking - includes berthed/docked vessels) in INT'L BOUNDARY BTWN VICTORIA AND SEATTLE, CAN.,.

The vessel, with 9 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 11/12/1997. Weather at the time was reported as clear.

Catamaran struck debris on voyage from Victoria to Seattle. Vessel took on water but pumps were able to keep up. Damage sustained to starboard hull and ocean dampening fin. Repairs will be undertaken when at dock.
