On 11/16/2017, the vessel NOBLE REGINA ALLEN (Official Number 15375) was involved in a fire in IEL dock, Halifax Harbour, NS., NOVA SCOTIA (NS).

The vessel, with 44 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

On 16 November 2017, the drill ship "NOBLE REGINA ALLEN", with 62 people on board, reported a fire on board which was actually an overheated, melted, smoking electric motor cooling fan. The smoking motor and fan was cooled with a fire extinguisher. There were no injuries or pollution reported.. Damage to the vessel was indicated as MINOR
