On 10/11/2002, the vessel ELEOUSSA (Official Number 9071765) was involved in a total failure of any machinery or technical system in TRAV. CAP SANTE, ST.LAWRENCE RIVER, QUE., QUEBEC (QC).

The vessel, with 21 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 10/31/2002. Weather at the time was reported as clear with winds from the NE at 3.00 knots.

While proceeding in the Traverse Cap Santé on the St.Lawrence, the bulk carrier ELEOUSSA experienced a blackout and as a result exited the ship channel. Ship generator strainer blocked by algae.
