On 12/9/2011 , the vessel ALGOMA MARINER (Official Number 835447) was involved in a grounding - under power (non-intentional) in ILES DE LA MADELEINE, QC, QUEBEC (QC).

The vessel, with 22 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was pollution.

On 9 December 2011, the"ALGOMA MARINER" ran aground on a sandbar while transiting outbound of the Grande Entrée channel , Iles de la Madeleine, Quebec. The vessel was able to refloat. No damage or pollution reported.
