On 9/15/2006 , the vessel SOVEREIGN (Official Number 709516) was involved in a grounding - under power (non-intentional) in NEAR BUOY M-161 PORT OF MONTREAL, QUEBEC, QUEBEC (QC).

The vessel, with 0 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was unknown pollution.
