On 1/18/2002 , the vessel MIAWPUKEK PRIDE (Official Number 820766) was involved in a bottom contact in ARNOLD'S COVE, NEWFOUNDLAND, NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR (NL).

The vessel, with 5 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

The F/V "MIAWPUKEK PRIDE" with 5 POB struck a rock while departing Arnold's Cove, Newfoundland. Vessel suffered some hull damage in way of the engine room and has since returned to port to carry out an underwater survey.
