On 1/30/2004 , the vessel C.T.M.A. VACANCIER (Official Number 820234) was involved in a risk of sinking in ST. LAWRENCE RIVER, QC, QUEBEC (QC).

The vessel, with 32 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 2/26/2004 . Weather at the time was reported as overcast with winds from the W at 55.00 knots.

The M/V "CTMA VACANCIER" was taking on water. A vertical crack, 36 inches long, was observed near frame 116. Repairs carried out to Lloyd's requirements accordingly.
