On 11/13/2007, the vessel YAMASKA (Official Number 13217) was involved in a bottom contact in OFF GRONDINES, QC, NEAR BUOY D9, QUEBEC (QC).

The vessel, with 24 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. There were 0 injuries and fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

The downbound loaded vessel "YAMASKA" made contact with the bottom, off Grondines, Quebec , near buoy D9 after a gyro failure. As a result, presence of water was observed in the water ballast tank no 2 starboard, no pollution reported.. Damage to the vessel was indicated as HOLED
