On 2/11/2003 , the vessel CARMELLE NO. 1 (Official Number 809811) was involved in a grounding - under power (non-intentional) in SAMBRO HARBOUR, NOVA SCOTIA, NOVA SCOTIA (NS).

The vessel, with 2 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 3/6/2003 1. Weather at the time was reported as snow with winds from the NE at 40.00 knots.

The F/V "CARMELLE NO. 1" with 3 POB reportedly ran aground while transiting Sambro Harbour in heavy snow and reduced visibility. Vessel subsequently freed itself and continued on to the wharf without further incident. No damage reported.
