On 5/18/2013 , the vessel MARIE J (Official Number 809350) was involved in a sank - flooding in TABUSINTAC GULLY, NB, NEW BRUNSWICK (NB).

The vessel, with 0 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. There were No injuries but 3 fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

On 18 May 2013, the FV "MARIE J " with 3 POB grounded on a sand bar in rough weather, in the Tabusintac Gully, NB. The vessel was pushed over the sandbar where it sank resulting in a total loss. All 3 crew members subsequently perished.. Damage to the vessel was indicated as TOTAL LOSS

Weather at the time was reported as overcast with winds from the N at 40.00 knots. This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 5/19/2013 .
