On 7/11/1997 , the vessel MACEY'S PRIDE (Official Number 803717) was involved in a sank - flooding in 21 MILES NW OF COW HEAD, NFLD.,.

The vessel, with 4 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. There were 0 injuries and fatalities were reported, and there was pollution.

F/V reported taking water in engine room and cuddy. Two pumps are unable to cope with ingress. Attempts to lighten vessel by jettison of fishing gear. Crew abandoned into liferaft and rescued by "Northern Swan".Vessel presumed sunk.. Damage to the vessel was indicated as TOTAL LOSS
