On 10/18/1996, the vessel FRANKFURT EXPRESS (Official Number 7909592) was involved in a striking - allision with a fixed object (striking - includes berthed/docked vessels) in HALTERMINAL, HALIFAX HARBOUR, N.S.,.

The vessel, with 25 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 10/21/1996. Weather at the time was reported as clear.

The bow of the "Frankfurt Express" made contact with the stern of the "Zim Asia" which was moored alongside at the time. Very minor damage to the after port catwalk & railings of the latter and a scrape on the bow with minor dent to the former.
