On 7/16/2017 , the vessel EFTICHIA (Official Number 8001922) was involved in a person overboard in Section 20, Port of Sorel, QC, QUEBEC (QC).
The vessel, with 21 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.
This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 7/16/2017 . Weather at the time was reported as clear with winds from the SW at knots.
On 16 July 2017, the bulk carrier "EFTICHIA” reported that a Transport Canada port warden fell in the water when the pilot ladder broke while reading the vessel’s draft amidship. The port warden was recovered from the water by a passing pleasure boat.
