On 2/15/2002 , the vessel ALMA ATA (Official Number 7532) was involved in a striking - allision with a fixed object (striking - includes berthed/docked vessels) in POINTE NOIRE, QUEBEC, QUEBEC (QC).
The vessel, with 28 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was unknown pollution.
This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 3/19/2002 . Weather at the time was reported as rain - freezing with winds from the S at 8.00 knots.
On 15 February 2002, the loaded Bulk Carrier "ALMA ATA" reportedly struck the wharf while departed incurring some damages to the wharf. No apparent damages to the vessel.
