On 9/23/2001 , the vessel INVIKEN (Official Number 727487) was involved in a striking - allision with a fixed object (striking - includes berthed/docked vessels) in COTE STE CATHERINE LOCK, SEAWAY, QUE., QUEBEC (QC).
The vessel, with 22 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

While manoeuvring in the Cote Ste Catherine lock, the INVIKEN struck the lock wall and damaged the port davit.
