On 5/14/2001 , the vessel KARTAL 7 (Official Number 724980) was involved in a person seriously injured or killed - in contact with any part of the ship or its contents in SECTION 5, PORT DE SOREL, QUEBEC, QUEBEC (QC).

The vessel, with 18 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 10/10/2001. Weather at the time was reported as clear with winds from the N at 6.00 knots.

On 14 May 2001, a stevedore suffered serious injuries while unloading bulk cargo from the vessel "KARTAL 7" at Sorel. The stevedore was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
