On 5/14/2001 , the vessel KARTAL 7 (Official Number 724980) was involved in a person seriously injured or killed - in contact with any part of the ship or its contents in SECTION 5, PORT DE SOREL, QUEBEC, QUEBEC (QC).

The vessel, with 18 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. There were No injuries but 1 fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

On 14 May 2001, a stevedore suffered serious injuries while unloading bulk cargo from the vessel "KARTAL 7" at Sorel. The stevedore was later pronounced dead at the hospital.. Damage to the vessel was indicated as
