On 6/27/2000 , the vessel MILLENIUM RAPTOR (Official Number 701009) was involved in a striking - allision with a fixed object (striking - includes berthed/docked vessels) in PORT OF SOREL, RICHELIEU RIVER, QUEBEC (QC).

The vessel, with 24 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 7/10/2000 . Weather at the time was reported as clear with winds from the NW at 6.00 knots.

While coming alongside at section no.19, the vessel struck the wharf which resulted in a 300mm tear in the starboard plating some 5m above the waterline.
