On 10/11/2017, the vessel SBI CARIOCA (Official Number 6268) was involved in a grounding - under power (non-intentional) in Belledune breakwater, NB, NEW BRUNSWICK (NB).

The vessel, with 21 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

On 11 October 2017, the bulk carrier "SBI CARIOCA", with 24 people on board, reported running aground while approaching the breakwater in the port of Belledune, NB in the Baie des Chaleurs. The vessel was refloated on the next high tide with the assistance of 2 tugs. No damage, pollution or injuries.. Damage to the vessel was indicated as MINOR
