On 3/29/2000 , the vessel LEON I (Official Number 6491) was involved in a person seriously injured or killed - in contact with any part of the ship or its contents in ENGLISH BAY ANCHORAGE, VANCOUVER, B.C., BRITISH COLUMBIA (BC).

The vessel, with 20 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 4/5/2000 8. Weather at the time was reported as clear.

Crewman (fitter) suffered a fracture to his left leg when he fell while decending a portable ladder in the cargo hold. The injured crewman was evacuated to Kits Base, by the CCGC "OSPREY" and transported to hospital.
