The vessel, with 0 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 8/6/1996 1. Weather at the time was reported as fog with winds from the SE at 15.00 knots.

Whilst conducting seismic survey, v/l grounded.Initial attempts to refloat were unsuccessful. When vessel swung broadside to seas, concern for crew safety caused the emergency response plan to be implemented, using 2 inflatable Mark V Zodiacs.
