On 12/14/2002, the vessel NOGAT (Official Number 6366) was involved in a bottom contact in GALOP ISLAND, SEAWAY, ON, ONTARIO (ON).

The vessel, with 15 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 8/7/2003 8. Weather at the time was reported as overcast with winds from the NE at 25.00 knots.

While proceeding off Galop Island in the Seaway, the vessel NOGAT touched bottom. The vessel sustained bow damage and will undergo an underwater inspection in Port of Montreal.
