On 30 August 2017, the fishing vessel "SEA VALLEY II", with 5 people on board and carrying 4000 gallons of diesel, reported a fire while in the Strait of Georgia, BC. The crew was evacuated by assisting vessels. No injuries reported.. Damage to the vessel was indicated as CONSTRUCTIVE TOTAL LOSS
