On 2/15/1987 , the vessel MERSEY VIKING (Official Number 392610) was involved in a person seriously injured or killed - in contact with any part of the ship or its contents in 22 MILES OFF ST JOHN'S NFLD,.

The vessel, with 17 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was pollution.
