On 9/29/2007 , the vessel KULLUK (Official Number 2522) was involved in a person seriously injured or killed - in contact with any part of the ship or its contents in BEAUFORT SEA, NWT, NORTHWEST TERRITORIES (NT).
The vessel, with 83 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.
This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 10/2/2007 . Weather at the time was reported as clear with winds from the ESE at 15.00 knots.
On 29 September 2007, the rig "KULLUK", while anchored at Beaufort Sea, NWT, reported that a crew member was struck in the head by a blank flange causing blunt force trauma resulting in fatality.
