On 3/20/1997 , the vessel KING'S ENDEAVOUR (Official Number 347249) was involved in a risk of sinking in 109 MILES NORTH-EAST OF CAPE BONAVISTA, NFLD.,.

The vessel, with 6 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 5/23/1997 . Weather at the time was reported as clear with winds from the NW at 6.00 knots.

Rudder casing came loose allowing ingress of water but in no immediate danger. Requesting ice-breaker assistance to Harbour Grace where vessel will be dry-docked and repairs effected. F/v "Atlantic Treasure" in area to assist.
