On 9/23/2004 , the vessel BARGE 1016 (Official Number 331164) was involved in a grounding - under power (non-intentional) in PROVIDENCE RAPIDS, MACKENZIE RIVER,NWT, NORTHWEST TERRITORIES (NT).
The vessel, with 0 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was minor pollution.

On 23 Sept 2004, while proc'dg upbd in the MacKenzie River the fuel barge "Barge #1016" being pushed by the tug "VIC INGRAHAM" ran aground at Providence Rapids, Mile 51. Barge was holed & beached. Minor pollution & boomed. Proc'dg to lighter barge.
