On 8/17/2009 , the vessel MAGIC MAKER (Official Number 328910) was involved in a total failure of any machinery or technical system in MALASPINA STRAIT, BC, BRITISH COLUMBIA (BC).

On 17 August 2009, the F/V "MAGIC MAKER" lost hydraulic steerage near Grief Point, Malaspina Strait, B.C. and in need of a tow. The vessel was towed into Westview Harbour by CCG, FRC, "WESTVIEW 1".
