On 3/20/2000 , the vessel BOVEC (Official Number 3172) was involved in a grounding - under power (non-intentional) in PRINCE RUPERT, B.C., BRITISH COLUMBIA (BC).
The vessel, with 21 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

V/L dragged anchor. Tug RIVTOW CECIL dispatched to assist as requested by pilot who HAD boarded to assist. V/L was unable to maneouvre clear due to extreme wind conditions and ran aground.
