On 10/3/2000 , the vessel EXPLORER I (Official Number 817005) was involved in a fire in CAMPOBELLO ISLAND NEW BRUNSWICK, NEW BRUNSWICK (NB).

The vessel, with 2 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 10/11/2000. Weather at the time was reported as clear with winds from the SW at 6.00 knots.

Reported by MCTS Saint John that the F/V EXPLORER 1 caught fire and grounded. Crew abandoned safely (no reported injuries).
