On 3/27/1989 , the vessel SILVER ICE (Official Number 270744) was involved in a person seriously injured or killed - in contact with any part of the ship or its contents in OFF HAKAI PASS, QUEEN CHARLOTTE SOUND, B.C.,.
The vessel, with 15 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.
This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 5/30/1990 . Weather at the time was reported as rain with winds from the ESE at 27.00 knots.
