On 1/10/1989 , the vessel LA SUERTE (Official Number 228105) was involved in a person seriously injured or killed - in contact with any part of the ship or its contents in 36 NM SW OF SCOTT ISLAND, CHARLOTTE SOUND, B.C,.

The vessel, with 22 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was pollution.
