On 8/21/1997 , the vessel HAIDA WARRIOR (Official Number 194282) was involved in a capsizes in HECATE STRAIT OFF BROWNING ENTRANCE, B.C.,.

The vessel, with 3 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was minor pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 3/3/1998 1. Weather at the time was reported as clear with winds from the SE at 25.00 knots.

The F/V with a load of salmon capsized in moderate weather conditions. 4 POB abandoned into liferaft and were rescued by another fishing vessel. "HAIDA WARRIOR" found afloat some days later. Minor pollution.
