On 9/25/2006 , the vessel KRATEROS (Official Number 10219) was involved in a grounding - under power (non-intentional) in PROSPECT POINT, VANCOUVER HARBOUR, BC, BRITISH COLUMBIA (BC).

The vessel, with 24 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. There were 0 injuries and fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

On 25 September 2006, while leaving Vancouver Harbour, the bulk carrier "KRATEROS" lost steering, dropped both anchors and ran aground. The vessel sustained bottom damage and there was no report of pollution. Vessel was towed in Vancouver Harbour.. Damage to the vessel was indicated as MAJOR
