On 11/9/2012 , the vessel PINCHAT (Official Number 9589164) was involved in a person seriously injured or killed - in contact with any part of the ship or its contents in OFFSHORE VANCOUVER ISLAND, BC, BRITISH COLUMBIA (BC).
The vessel, with 21 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.
This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 11/14/2012. Weather at the time was reported as clear with winds from the NW at 24.00 knots.
On 09 November 2012, a crew member onboard the M/V "PINCHAT" sustained serious injuries when a steel plate fell on him, approx. 100 nm off Vancouver Island, B.C. The crew member was medivaced but died enroute to the hospital.
