On 8/13/2014 , the vessel SEAPACE (Official Number 9486025) was involved in a total failure of any machinery or technical system in Bécancour, QC, QUEBEC (QC).
The vessel, with 22 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

On 13 August 2014, the MV "SEAPACE" sustained a failure of its cargo crane #4. The slewing bearing broke apart; the complete cabin and jib assemblies collapsed into cargo hold #5, along with the stevedore operating the crane. The stevedore suffered an open fracture to his right leg and was subsenquently rescued by the local fire brigade and sent to the hospital. No pollution reported.
