On 5/6/2010 1, the vessel BBC ALASKA (Official Number 9433262) was involved in a person (crew member) physical incapacitation in LOCK 2, WELLAND CANAL, ONTARIO (ON).

The vessel, with 14 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

On 06 May 2010, on the "BBC ALASKA" at Lock 2, Welland, a mooring rope jumped from the wrapping head and struck a crewmember severly on the leg. An ambulance took him to the nearest hospital for treatment.
