On 5/19/2017 , the vessel TRAVESTERN (Official Number 90506) was involved in a total failure of any machinery or technical system in South Lancaster, ON, ONTARIO (ON).

On 19 May 2017, the chemical /product tanker "TRAVESTERN" reported an engine failure while transiting the St. Lawrence Seaway off Lancaster, ON. The vessel subsequently ran aground and was later floated with the assistance of 2 tugs which also assisted the vessel to St-Zotique, QC anchorage for repairs.
