On 10/20/2006, the vessel VLADIMIR VYSOTSKIY (Official Number 863863) was involved in a grounding - under power (non-intentional) in NEAR BUOY S-107, YAMACHICHE, QC, QUEBEC (QC).

The vessel, with 28 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 11/16/2006. Weather at the time was reported as rain with winds from the NW at 15.00 knots.

The upbound tanker vessel "VLADIMIR VYSOTSKIY" stranded shortly after losing its propulsion and electrical power. No pollution or ingress of water was observed. The vessel was refloated some 21 hours later with the assistance of two tugs.
