On 5/31/2015 , the vessel ALGOMA HARVESTER (Official Number 837694) was involved in a intentional beaching/grounding/anchoring to avoid occurrence in Bay Mills, Wisconsin, Outside Provincial Boundaries.

The vessel, with 20 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 5/31/2015 . Weather at the time was reported as clear with winds from the NE at knots.

On 31 May 2015, the bulk carrier "ALGOMA HARVESTER" reported that the rudder stock seal bolts had loosened causing the seal to lift out of position resulting in ingress of water. The vessel had to anchor and the rudder stock emergency bladder was inflated and the seal repositioned. After satisfactory testing, the vessel resumed its voyage.
