On 9/18/2005 , the vessel ROTORUA (Official Number 8371) was involved in a fire in SECTION 62, PORT DE MONTREAL, QC, QUEBEC (QC).

The vessel, with 22 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 10/21/2005. Weather at the time was reported as clear with winds from the SE at 2.00 knots.

While shifting berth, the "ROTORUA" experienced a fire in the engine uptakes. Fire self extinguished shortly thereafter.
