On 5/18/2009 , the vessel ATLANTIC VISION (Official Number 835621) was involved in a total failure of any machinery or technical system in LOW POINT, NS, NOVA SCOTIA (NS).

The vessel, with 80 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

On 18 May 2009, the ro-ro pax ferry "ATLANTIC VISION" with 219 POB was reported disabled due to a loss of main power off Low Point, N.S. Vessel subsequently restored power and proceeded to North Sydney, N.S. without further incident.
