On 7/13/2016 , the vessel P.B. 34 (Official Number 833507) was involved in a collision - struck by vessel in Seaspan shipyard, North Vancouver, BRITISH COLUMBIA (BC).
The vessel, with 0 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

On 13 July 2016, the tug "CHARLES H. CATES VI", with a partly loaded fuel barge “P.B. 32” in tow, reported malfunction of its starboard propulsion system and subsequent girding by barge "P.B. 32" during the tie up process at Seaspan Shipyards, North Vancouver, BC. The barge “P.B. 32” consequently collided with the tug and caused the tug to strike the side of the fuel barge "P.B. 34". The tug's superstructure was crushed between the two barges and sustained extensive damage. No injuries or pollution reported.
