On 9/23/2017 , the vessel SEASPAN 204 (Official Number 832189) was involved in a total failure of any machinery or technical system in Lehigh cement dock, Delta, BC, BRITISH COLUMBIA (BC).

On 23 September 2017, the barge "SEASPAN 204", while being towed by of the tugs "SEASPAN TEMPEST" AND "SEASPAN VENTURE", parted its bridle and struck the moored barge "MLT 8000-1" while manoeuvring on the Fraser River, BC. Both barges sustained minor damage.. Damage to the vessel was indicated as MINOR
